Some of its many benefits include increased muscle tone from head to toe, improved heart health, enhanced mobility, and mental health benefits such as better sleep, stress management, and increased self-confidence. For a swim school like Mini Mermaids, promoting these benefits aligns perfectly with building confidence and joy in the water. Plus, because swimming is so gentle on the joints, it is truly a lifelong sport. I am on a Masters swim team, and our swimmers range in age from 18 to their 80s—some teams even have athletes in their 100s!

As a longtime swim coach, I see the different needs that girls have in practice. I view this as an opportunity to introduce young girls to the sport of swimming, helping them develop a love for the water and the sport itself.

Our goal is to prepare beginner swimmers for a nationally ranked local swim team. Too many swim schools teach poor technique, making it difficult for other coaches to correct bad habits later. Not only that, but poor form can lead to injury. I will set your daughter up for success in swimming.
I stumbled into coaching about 10 years ago when my son joined our local swim team. The team needed a coach, and as a lifelong swimmer, I decided to give it a try. I am so glad I did!
Over the past decade, I have coached countless kids—many of whom are now swimming in college. I understand what it takes to lay the foundation for a successful transition to competitive swimming.
